To Alan and John M.: I was discussing about the relation between Israel and Palestine when Alan asked a question about what Japan did (or didn't) during WWII, so John M. is now seem to want to discuss about the latter incident with me. I think John is illogical about it.
I am a Japanese citizen but I am not responsible for what Japan did to Chinese or Koreans in those days as I am not a part of it and I am of course free to discuss about Israel-Palestine problem without being distracted by the history of Japan. Alan, I still don't have your answer on the reason why US is supporting Israel in the relation between Palestine and Israel. I realize the possibility that you don't have the answer. John M. in the meanwhile stated that it's because US's interest in oil that's behind its support to Israel (I don't know that he is stating his personal opinion or simply quoting what he read as he seems to believe in the truth is always in the words he reads not what he can deduce from facts) and I expressed my opinion that it can well be so. I said that I believe there may be other reasons why US is supporting Israel and I suggested that it may be in the similarity in how two countries were established. I think there is no similarity between how Japan was established and how US and Israel were established. I see no need to bring in any part of the Japanese history into the present debate about Israel and Palestine.
