Where did I ever say that? Now you are simply hallucinating, Minoru. What I tried to do was make sense of one of your loopy posts, by adding some facts and giving an alternative analysis. When Jerry had a kind word to say about my efforts, you got upset, and said something to the effect that "assuming that John has not invented these facts..." That is the sort of thing that people generally refer to as "innuendo", Minoru, and it is not particularly sly. Go back and re-read the posts, Minoru, that is a fair summary of how this all got started. > > JM: > Well, you opened a can of worms, and I am just putting a lid back on it. Just like Alan, you can dish it out, > but you just can't take it, can you? > > MM: > I didn't say you "have manufactured facts." > No, not exactly in those words, but that was clearly the thrust of your comments. Re-read the exchange. And it is interesting that you are only now addressing the issue, even though I have mentioned it in several posts so far. > JM: > Normally, Minoru, most objective people who hear such denials about the > Holocaust just shake their heads in disgust. This subject has been discussed here in the past, and you have availed yourself the kind of despicable arguments characteristic of Holocaust deniers here more than once. That is in fact the larger purpose of your attack on Iris Chang's book. I only regret not speaking up more forcefully about it much earlier, though I certainly objected at the time. To Alan: Is this an example of the "straw men" that you mentioned in your last post? Minoru has in past discussion here always tried to cast doubt on the veracity of reports relating to the Rape of Nanjing. He has just done it again, by stating that Iris Chang was bamboozled by reading the writings of some propagandist hired by the Chiang Kai-shek government to fabricate evidence about mass murder by Japanese forces in China during WWII. Go back and read his post, it is all crystal clear. Next thing you know, we will be hearing that the Bataan Death March was just a gay frolic down to the seashore for tea and crumpets! You find yourself in rather odd company now, Alan. If you want to jump on this bandwagon, be my guest. You two deserve each other.
