Josh Elser commented on ACCUMULO-1797:

bq. Are you looking for something more than the testion section on the relase
page? If so I would be happy to provide more detail.
Nice, I actually didn't know that existed. There's a bit more we could write
down in terms of "running functional tests" and how to invoke findbugs/pmd, but
those are likely better suited as their own write-ups.
In regards to testing on multiple versions of Hadoop, I'm happy to help out (if
this wasn't painfully obvious already). The only limitation I see is, given
that write-up, people sitting at home aren't going to be able to run the tests
on a cluster. They might be able to run continuous-ingest/randomwalk, but
that's a pretty low bar of catching bugs that I would expect to have been
caught already by unit tests.
Along the same lines of what Benson said, we test what we have cycles to or
people volunteer to test, and that's what we have. We just need to make sure we
meet the bar we've set in that release guidelines for the project.

> if we're going to label Hadoop platforms as supported, we should ensure the
> release process specifies that tests are run against each of them.
