Actually no. OpenSSL is a security centric library and has nothing to do with
erasure coding things. ISA-L has nothing dependency on external libraries, it's
purely self-contained, which is why I like it.

Hmm, I don't want to pretend I am not hired, but it's not the case here. What I
said is purely from technical and practical overview, because so far I don't
aware any other better option liberasurecode supports. I want to be specific
here, do you know which one can also be considered? I guess we can discuss this
separately.
