Connecticut has collected information about community participation, independent living, and self–advocacy in our two previous PSO surveys (2002 & 2004). The current instrument (2006) has 3 questions that go beyond the minimum requirements and address: working with other state agencies, satisfaction with life since leaving HS, and an open–ended statement where any additional comments about life after HS can be included.

A question
has been posed to us about how many states are collecting data on independent
living, social engagement or other questions beyond the reporting
requirements. We know that you all have developed or are in the
process of developing your follow-up survey questions for your state data
collection systems. -- |
