thanks, Matt! When playing with NSP in F do you tune your fiddle down or play in F and C? Have you heard Mick O'Brien and Caoimhin o Raghallaigh? I think Caoimhin must tune his fiddle down to be in tune with Mick's flat set. Perhaps what I like about these duets is the fiddle being tuned down. I just got Dr. Angus MacDonald's new CD, where he plays Highland pipe duets with a fiddle, but it doesn't sound very much like a fiddle it's so shrill to my ears. Of course, YMMV.
