update -s:c: The i386 directory must be off of the root in order for it to work. Sucks, I know, but if it's under a subdirectory like it is in your case, it won't work. Hence your error.

I am using the command "update /s:d:\cd" where d:\cd is the local directory on my machine that has the installation files including a i386 directory. Any ideas?
