That's not true.  I've done it with a deeply nested i386 folder.

I'll do it again when I get home and send the commands.

The i386 directory must be off of the root in order for it to work.
Sucks, I know, but if it's under a subdirectory like it is in your case,
it won't work.  Hence your error.

Following the Boot CD discussion last week:

I am trying to slipstream SP2 into my installation share. When the file
is finally extracted I have a error message that says:

Not all files necessary to perform an integrated installation are
present.

I have tried the SP CD that came with TechNet as well as re-downloading
it. I have replaced my installation files on the share direct from the
original CD.  I am using the command "update /s:d:\cd" where d:\cd is
the local directory on my machine that has the installation files
including a i386 directory.  Any ideas?
