Hi,
HI
Altough i am not familiar with veritas Data Center Backup, as a former
Veritas emloyee ia am familiar with Veritas products in general.
We had two rules.
1: Generally speaking you have to multiplex two or more backup-streams
(data from different systems) to get the desired tape performance
2: To recover a multiplexed data stream will obwiously take more time
comparing
to a non multiplexed data stream.
3: You can demultiplex the tape by copying different streams to
differents tapes,
This kost off-line time but will save time in case of disaster
recovery.
I think is the demultiplexing kosting you so much time,
regards
Nico
