We had two rules. 1: Generally speaking you have to multiplex two or more backup-streams (data from different systems) to get the desired tape performance 2: To recover a multiplexed data stream will obwiously take more time comparing to a non multiplexed data stream. 3: You can demultiplex the tape by copying different streams to differents tapes, This kost off-line time but will save time in case of disaster recovery. I think is the demultiplexing kosting you so much time, regards Nico ----- > -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- > Van: BY [SMTP:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Verzonden: maandag 3 december 2001 14:09 > Aan: NT 2000 Discussions > Onderwerp: Veritas DataCentre Backup > > Hello there, > > My Current environment:- > Domain - NT 4 Domain Controller with SP5 > File Server - Windows 2000 SP2 Member Server > Exchange Server - NT 4 with SP5 & Exchange Server 5.5 with SP4 > Backup Application - Veritas Data Centre > Backup Media - Compaq DL Tape Library with 10 slots of cartridge drive > > We have just implemented Veritas Datacentre as our new backup application > last week.
