what i usually do is backup my sql database via sql and then i backup the
backups...
i was told it's not good to have a 3rd party agent actually read and write
from the sql files directly

Backup exec help is about as good as a screen door on a submarine.
I have a question. I have this one particular server. Every time BE backs
it
up. I get a drive not responding error. It always seems to happen when it
is
backing up SQL files and directories. If I deselect that folder, the error
never occurs. Of course this is unacceptable, because I need to back up SQL
files. Any thought?

Thanks

Ed

Well don't expect much help from their Tech Support.

Do you have some simple questions that we could help with?
