Again, it depends.  You can do both.  There are advantages and disadvantages
to both.  If you purchase a certificate, you will incur that cost.  I don't
know how much that is.  If you install Cert Server and issue your own
certificate, it will also work.  The certificate won't have all the nice
green check marks indicating it can be traced back to a trusted certificate
authority, but it will work just fine.  So to answer the question, you need
to figure out which one will meet your needs.  Both will work, but which one
is best for you.  I can't answer that.
