By default, WinInstall LE excludes several directories (and registry keys?),
including the WINNT\DLLCACHE directory.
You must capture changes to this directory for OS component changes to take
place. If you don't, your MSI will replace certain DLL/EXE files in your
system directories, but then WIn2k will see these changes and overwrite them
with the older versions from the DllCache directory.
Your best bet is to do a before and after snapshot of EVERYTHING (i.e.
remove Wininstall LE's exclusions), including an intermediate reboot if
necessary. Then use the Wininstall LE package editor to reomve files and
registry keys you know shouldn't be part of the package.
