Not asking a lot are you....

Mimesweeper is probably your best bet in this case. It does everything in
one package.
TrendMicro does everything also, but its offered as seperate products.
(Note: TrendMicro's Exchange scan is compariable to Sybari if you pick the
product that use the AVAPI Version 2.0, which also requires SP2 on Exchange
2000).

Remember this, there is no product that is best in class for all catagory of
virus scanning...that's probably why there are so many companies with
different solutions. However, in your case...an all-in-one product that
does it all is much superior than not having any protection at all...I see
your point and totally agree.

Leonard Lee

Yeah, the problem is that this client doesn't want any anti-virus on his
machines, because the Diskettes drives and cd-roms are disabled. So, I
have to ensure that EVERYTHING that comes through the server is scanned,
that means Mail and Internet, and of course have a system scan on the
server... and what I'm looking for is a product that does it all!

That's just a slight technicality ;)

However, it isn't going to do HTTP scanning.
Antigen is an Exch Only product. If you want anything other than
Exchange,
you will need other products as well.

Yes, Sybari is a good choice. Their product is unique in that they do
not
develop their own anti-virus patterns and scanning engine. What Sybari
do
best is to interfacing to the Exchange store and using other vendor
anti-virus scanning solutions to do the work. You can have multiple
scan
engines enabled for redundancy...no other Anti-virus vendors can do
that.

We use Sybari Antigen, and wouldn't have it any other way

We use Trend Micro's Neat Suite. They have a HTTP filter for MS Proxy 2
(don't know about ISA) - works great. We also use the use Server
Protect
and ScanMail for Exchange 5.5. Very little performance hit. We have 1
subnet and about 100 users. Note - Inoculan uses the MAPI API for its
MS
Exchange scanner - it absolutely killed our server's performance, that
is
why we went to Trend.

Sorry for the previous mail, it was with the wrong subject!

I have a server (W2k) with exchange and Isa servers. What anti-virus do
you
recommend? I need to scan the system, e-mails in exchange and web
traffic
through the proxy. The server is serving only 25 workstations, and
workload
is definitely not an issue here!

Thanks in advance,
