I think it really matters for which version of Novell you are using. If you are using 4.1 then yeah, there is a major advantage to migrating to Win2K. I am an old school Novell admin. I used that back in the 3.12 days. I personally have no gripe with Novell. A migration to Microsoft will be more tasking and a learning curve for you if you haven't used it. The best way would be to build your systems from scratch, assign permissions login scripts, create users, DNS and DHCP scopes, there is a ton of stuff that you wouldn't have to do by implementing an additional Novell server.
