"The requested computer can not perform the specified action." I have a test ActiveDirectory domain here. I'm trying to add a Windows XP workstation to it. Whenever I change the workstation computer properties to try and add it to the domain, I have to wait an extremely painful amount of seconds (although this is pretty much normal, yuck.) until a dialogue pops up to tell me that "The requested computer can not perform the specified action."
What a crock! The account I specified is a Domain Administrator. The "requested computer" is a sole Domain Controller on an ActiveDirectory domain. I tried several variations on my username. [EMAIL PROTECTED] Username. None worked. There's no error reported on the client or server, there's no reason that I can see that this should be happening. I deleted the computer account AD object. Am I simply going mad? Windows is really starting to turn me into a bitter, angry person! -- Adam Smith Information Technology Officer SAGE Automation Ltd.
