I had no problems with the update. I agree the remote agents were a bit tricky but otherwise have not had any other problems. I performed a fresh install, though, and moved my backup services to a different server in the process. That probably helped. I don't know what else to tell you since my installation went well.
You learn so much more when things don't go in as nice as they should.
