So I've heard.

You can still do the registry settings manually (easily scriptable) and use
SUS to pull the updates. I'm looking at doing just that for some boxes
located on a few of our quasi-extra-nets.[1]

I also know some good consultants who can stay away after 9pm to do the work
for you. For a price, of course.
