if you have an old (i.e. not the SVN verstion) ntop version you cannot use the
nDPI code that is in SVN as the nDPI code changed.

It is very fragile having to svn download the nDPI source during the build
process. It took me several tries to get svn to pull
the nDPI tree and not timeout and continue trying to do the build, which of
course resulted in errors about various nDPI pieces
not being found. Of course the first couple of times I didn't realize what had
happened and spent time trying to figure out why
nDPI was not there.
Why can't the current version of nDPI be released with the NTOP tar ball?
