Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, I am writing again wrt to Ntop 3 May snap to say that in an attempt to deal with the premature ending (of ntop), I changed the owner of the Ntop database directory to the user Ntop runs as.
Thereupon, when it started, after the usal start messages, these messages would pour out incessantly, Please enter the password for the admin user: Please enter the password for the admin user: Please enter the password for the admin user: Please enter the password for the admin user: Please enter the password for the admin user: Please enter the password for the admin user: I tried returning the owner to root before starting ntop, but the messages started again. Recompiling ntop and deleting the file (then mkdir as root) had the same result.
