Remember, -K suppresses the child fork() for static web pages in http.c It could easily be that the loop is occuring in the non-fork, vs. child() without -K
STOP USING -K! When it's looping, somebody has to use gdb and connect to the running instance and show where it's looping. use ps -m to show the thread process#s Check the log to figure out which thread is which. (gdb) show threads (gdb) thread n (gdb) bt full -----Burton -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Mike Tremaine Sent: Thursday, June 12, 2003 4:07 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [Ntop] Problem Report PR_5VHRELB (Ntop 2.2.2) (followup) I wonder if the -K option is a factor in this, I never remember seeing this problem (sure I had other stability issues but not the Web Server hitting 100% CPU) before I starting using -K to check up on why the system was bombing.... How about you Scott? Are you (were you) using -K..
