..the problem is, Microsoft is actually sabotaging coders who uses the
GPL. Because the GPL makes use of copyright law to protect coders
from being screwed by Microsoft.
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/licenses.html#GPL

..they (Microsoft) say they spend 5 Million US$ to combat cybercrime
such as making and spreading viruses, while they this far has pumped
in, I estimate 75 Million US$, into SCO's lawsuit on IBM, details are
provided in the rather excellent analysis and investigation work done
in http://groklaw.net/ ;-)

..purpose: Use SCO's pump-n-dump stock scheme to spread FUD to
keep US, Colombian etc etc industry etc from getting the securest 'n
cheapest 'n best software that would the end user back in control
of what your company needs to buy, rather than hop-n-buy every
time Microsoft says so.

..yes, Microsoft _knows_ they buy into a illegal pump-n-dump stock
scheme that will cause loss of their _entire_ "investment".

..they (Microsoft) may even be able to recover, legally, under
US law, their "loss", as a tax-deductible business expense.

..your boss can be understood 2 ways: "Luca and Burton are bandits
who lure money off naive idiots" like yourselves, and "Surely Microsoft
cannot have a problem cooperating with Luca and Burton under
US copyright law?". ;-)

..in the latter case, google for "Microsoft" "cooperation" and "lawsuit"
etc, to get your boss up to date. ;-)

..in the first case; if you need someone to chew out your boss,
just say the word. ;-)

Scenarios always come in sets of three:
best case, worst case, and just in case.
