There are some white paper pdf's in there too with the details you are
looking for. Sounds like 200Kpps shouldn't be much of an issue if
everything is compiled and patched correctly.

*Subject:* [Ntop] ideal pf_ring parameters for high speed capture

Hi

I am trying to capture line rate traffic (1Gbps) using pf_ring. I get
drops beyond 200Kpps. I am using RHEL4 + 4 cores + 2GB. Packet sizes vary
from 64-1500 bytes. Has anyone done a study on the throughput as a function
of ring params?

Thanks
Debo
