Been using it since January (earlier if you count the CP), and I'm still not convinced it's better than what I had under Windows 7. I run a lot of VMs too.
However - this is neither the time or the place for the old "Windows 8 - love it or hate it" debate, just saying that people's opinions of it generally differ.
