Batch files are widely regarded as "dangerous" and will be blocked by all
sorts of things.

When distributing batch files or other scripts as bare files (not in a
ZIP or whatever), I recommended renaming them by appending a text file
extension, e.g., "foo.bat.txt".

Aside from avoided unwanted blocking, it also prevents unexpected
execution, allows them to be viewed without downloading in a browser, and
may clue in the computer to perform end-of-line translation.
