I used to use freeSSHd for a long time, but it bothered me that there didn't 
seem to be any development for it going on.
Also there was a bug where, if I remember right, it would error on large file 
sizes.
I moved to openssh on Debian. It seems solid. There's a few guides on locking 
it down to make it relatively safe.

Anyone using freeSSHd?  The only problems I've seen with it involved 1.2.6.  
The latest version I've found is 1.2.7 and can't find any vulnerabilities or 
issues with it.
