You say "yes I need an account" and then when you go into the account setup you say skip and you can do a local account.

Well, I thought the same thing.

In Win 8/8.1 you can create a local account.

And, when I downloaded and installed the first release of Win 10, it also had the same selection.

But, on this latest release, I go to do the same thing and I don't see it there. I have google-foo'd and all the websites I have gone to say the same thing that you said. But I don't see that selection.

I could have sworn I avoided it the same way as in 8.1.

Whether it’s changed or not, I believe you will get the option to
create a local one if you choose the right option to move past the
screen that first prompts you to use an MS account. Then on the
next screen near the bottom (you may need to scroll) there is
something to click on to create a local account. (Sorry it’s so
vague, but I haven’t done it enough times.)

Question: In Windows 8/8.1 I could setup a computer without having
to use a Microsoft Account, as this was an option. But I do not
see that same option in the Windows 10 Pre-Release. Is there a way
around this so that I don't have to register a new account to
Microsoft but just create a local account?
