Go ahead and give it credentials as if you’re using a live account, just make 
sure they’re bogus and don’t exist.  After it fails, it’ll give you the option 
to use a local account instead.

I could have sworn I avoided it the same way as in 8.1.

Whether it’s changed or not, I believe you will get the option to create a 
local one if you choose the right option to move past the screen that first 
prompts you to use an MS account.  Then on the next screen near the bottom (you 
may need to scroll) there is something to click on to create a local account.  
(Sorry it’s so vague, but I haven’t done it enough times.)

Question: In Windows 8/8.1 I could setup a computer without having to use a 
Microsoft Account, as this was an option. But I do not see that same option in 
the Windows 10 Pre-Release. Is there a way around this so that I don't have to 
register a new account to Microsoft but just create a local account?
