If
there are no diffusers covering the tubes the light will be a hell of a lot
worse. Most offices have diffusers fitted, but if you happen to work in
a shop or factory, or bad office you could be stuck with bare tubes.
They will fry your eyes in no time. When I was younger and before I had anti
reflection coating on my glasses, there were some shops I could not even enter,
as the bare tubes gave me a migraine and made me squint.
