nice. When I got mine, they asked
me how far my monitor was from my eyes, and actually designed the glasses to
work at that distance. They did
also verify that I should take frequent breaks and let my eyes take breaks as
well. Ben
Winzenz, MCSE Network/Systems Administrator Peregrine Systems, Inc. -----Original Message----- For me it is not the resolution of my monitor, but the refresh rate
that causes problems. With regard to florescent lights especially, you want to
be sure that your refresh rate is as far off from 60Hz as is possible.
Florescent lights flicker at 60Hz and the interaction between a monitor
flickering at the same refresh rate and the lighting creates a worse
effect that either flicker alone. I avoid using florescent lighting
when possible, but if not I won't run a refresh rate lower that 85Hz if I can
help it. I like the idea of anti-glare glasses though. I am assuming
that these are polarized lenses, which should cut down on the amount that
ambient florescent lighting you see reflected back at you from the
monitor. -Tim VanDeWalle -----Original

Message----- You
can get the glasses without perscription lenses. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [EMAIL PROTECTED] -home email ----- Original Message -----

in both eyes. -----Original

is your lighting like? I turned off the florescent lights, and got a
cheap lamp... I am doing much better. One of my coworkers has a pair of
anti-glare glasses, too. They look like thing wire frame glasses, but she
loves them. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [EMAIL PROTECTED] -home email ----- Original Message -----
Speaking of problems from this profession. By the end of the
day my eyes are red and hurt real bad from starring at monitors all day.
I went to the eye doctor and he said everything was fine. Do any of you
have this problem? I've try changing monitors and resolution. no
good. http://www.sunbelt-software.com/ntsysadmin_list_charter.htm http://www.sunbelt-software.com/ntsysadmin_list_charter.htm http://www.sunbelt-software.com/ntsysadmin_list_charter.htm http://www.sunbelt-software.com/ntsysadmin_list_charter.htm http://www.sunbelt-software.com/ntsysadmin_list_charter.htm http://www.sunbelt-software.com/ntsysadmin_list_charter.htm http://www.sunbelt-software.com/ntsysadmin_list_charter.htm |
