Well, hurrumph!  I find the response to be just about the same.

I don't visit microsoft.com for updating my servers.  I visit it
directly from servers for emergencies: Which is primarily for
information searching, and updates/hotfixes.

If I'm doing this; I not only don't have the luxury of waiting for a
WSUS cycle to kick-off, but its 99.9% likely that what I am looking on
their site is not applicable to WSUS at all.  And I very well may not
have the luxury of having another network accessible system in order
to use Silverlight-embedded features.

This can seriously cut into the turn-around time for a problem
resolution.  This is very disappointing to think about.

Thanks for the info though.  Its good to have this a consideration
ahead of time.
