It depends completely on the environment. Most of the time, I use Remote Assistance when I'm on a AD domain that has it setup. (Microsoft's built in solution)
But, I have also used: UltraVNC/TightVNC/RealVNC/etc... DameWare Mini Remote Control LogMeIn Free TeamViewer join.me Apple Remote Desktop Of all of the above solutions, I think my favorite would be TeamViewer. It seems the most flexible with different supported servers and clients.
