Sorry for late post.  Just got back in the office.
We use Dell here quite a bit.  We were really happy with them until our 
Optiplex 745s starting dropping like flies (bad capacitors on the motherboard, 
and Dell doesn't seem to acknowledge it was a problem).  As a result we're 
looking at HP.  I think you could convince them to be pretty competitive if it 
meant you were looking to boot Dell out the door.

We purchase a number of PCs each month as part of a rotation cycle.  I've been 
a Dell customer for years, but lately don't think Dell has been offering the 
best price we can get (we are non-profit and state/GSA, although non-profit 
pricing is usually better).  So I'm looking around.  For desktops I'm not too 
picky as long as specs are similar.

HP?  Lenovo?  Big Lots?
