Put WireShark or similar on source and destination and see what you get back.
what happens if you statically assign this laptop and put it on the same VLAN as the source? Same results? I have a single laptop in our department that I cannot ping. The user in question is able to access all network resources. Windows firewall is off, and no other firewall is running I have verified that all DHCP & DNS entries are correct. The user can ping anything on the network. Other symptoms: The machine loses connection to one server periodically. This is indicated by the fact that his computer shows the "offline" tray icon. Any time this happens, he can choose "synchronize", and he always is back online. He can access any internet/intranet site w/o problem at any time. Switch port counters show no problems. Changing switch port makes no difference. Any helpful suggestions appreciated.
