Who is doing day to day-ish administration? SBS2011 is wizard-driven (you can do things the 2008R2 way if you want but trust me, you don't want). The backups are similar, but not identical. SBS2011 wants a dedicated volume for backups (it hides the backup volume form Explorer, for example).
Do they want remote access? SBS2011 comes with Remote Web Workspace which lets the get to files/folders w/out requiring VPN for example (think RDS Web running on SharePoint and you get the idea), that might be useful to them. The user doesn't want to invest in additional money for a backup solution so I'll be using windows server backup. Are they the same versions? From: Andrew S. The main difference I see between the two OS's is SBS includes Exchange. The down side is SBS requires much more resources as seen from my lab. If there are no plans for on premise exchange, should I be going with Server 2008 R2? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
