Yes, it is

Can anyone let me know if it is possible to reset the permissions to the default? Apparently it is an elevation permissions issue.

I tried yesterday to download some updates and run them manually but if the windows update agent is not working fine, I can't install them.

EnableDCOM is set to "Y"?

Sorry, it is the issue:

Error 0x80070005

I've just discovered that is a permission issue in
this website:

http://www.wsus.info/forums/index.php?showtopic=6149

Which could make sense because I'm trying to install
TortoiseSVN and have this elevation issues too.

I've checked the default permissions and I can't find
such "DefaultAccessPermission" entry in the registry,
however in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Ole I
found:

Default DefaultLaunchApplication EnableDCOM LegacyImpersonationLevel (0x02)
  MachineAccessRestriction
  MachineLauchRestriction

Changing the default impersonation level in the
dcomcnfg.exe tool changes the
LegacyImpersonationLevel, so they are related. What
can I do to solve this issue?

Any chance of your being more specific about which
issues you are referring to? You've asked a lot of
times, but not once provided any information about
what you are looking for.

Some sites say February 22 would be when Microsoft
will release the SP1 for the rest of mere mortals.

I insist, someone knows a fix for the Windows update
agent issues that a lot of people have?

If not, this SP1 addresses this issue?

Thanks,

Miguel

Not with some Common sense and AV, and only
download files you that
people have discussed and flagged as legit.

Been using usenet for years. Never found a
