Yeah, but MS was partly to blame for this and some the other reasons the vista launch sucked. MS had established a trend of missed deadlines and release dates that vendors had gotten used to.
Where they are really culpable is in the "vista capable" debacle and also selling so many confusing versions of the same OS. You know you have problems when Walmart has no problem selling an entry level PC with linux, but says that the Home Basic version of your rand new shiny OS is not good enough for their customers.
