1) If they do what they're supposed to, why replace them? We are happily running LaserJet 8000s and LaserJet 4050s because they *just* *work*.
2) Not everyone can spend $500 willy-nilly on a HP LaserJet P2015n or something similar - far, far too many places (mostly small private schools, it seems) are so cash strapped they shouldn't even be *attempting* to run *any* kind computer network; they have absolutely *no* money to replace *anything*. They are running on borrowed time with donated equipment.
