  One interesting thing that's happening more and more these days is
legislation which states the CEO can't ask things like that, and if
they do, they're in all sorts of trouble.  I know Massachusetts is
presently turning on legislation about the security of personnel data,
for example.

  The concept has existed in the DoD contractor world for some time.
One of the many standard documents that get shoved in front of one's
face is a statement that says, in effect, everybody working for the
contractor is also working for Uncle Sam, and if push comes to shove,
Uncle Sam trumps Mr. Big Shot Boss.  The threat of being sent to
Federal PMITA Prison seems to be an effective deterrent in most cases.
