It between 2001 and 2004. LinkSys might have been acquired by Cisco during this time span, but Cisco certainly hadn't had a chance to effect any real change yet. But again, I haven't seen any real change in LinkSys for their non-VPN stuff. I doubt the VPN stuff is significantly better. > Any good recommendations? I used to swear by NetScreen, but that was years ago. Juniper's turned the entire product line over since then, so my experience isn't valid. These days I'm using OpenVPN. It works well, and you can't beat the price, but I wouldn't call it "easy to learn" unless you already know all about IP routing and X.509 crypto certificates.
