I haven't messed around with Windows 7 yet, but I'm pretty sure the UAC isn't going away. And I don't think you can blame the application compatibility completely on Microsoft. And certainly not the lack of drivers. Why is that not the vendors' fault for getting them out within a reasonable time frame? It seems to me that all we're really getting with Windows 7 is Vista SP3 or R2. You're getting a renamed OS due to bad press and agressive marketing by Mac. But, like I said, I haven't messed around with it much.
