No way ... A word is 8 bits, or two 4 bit nybbles ... So the 9th bit would
be the first bit of the second word !

Bit9 is the 1st bit in the 2nd half of a Word or the 1st bit in the 2nd 25%
of a Double Word.  And you need to check out their Plan9 From Outer Space.
It is their way to control out of this world viruses.
