I found Hamachi when I used to use it had issues over time. Because it adds a virtual NIC interface on each system it just resulted in weird things. I used the earlier versions for LAN gaming over the Internet and being able to remote to friends and families systems. But it wasn't worth the hassle of remembering all the passcodes in the end.
