Oops. I guess that's just a Dell (Broadcom) nic feature.

My Toshiba uses the Intel Pro wireless (internal) and I see no such
setting ... where do you normally find this ?

Most NICs have a "disable upon wired connect" setting.

Find the REG Key affected by the setting, set via GPO.

The utility from this website has been working well on my laptop. We're
considering rolling it out, mainly to prevent users from having a
wireless unfirewalled connection direct to the internet when they're on
our private network.

When I cable up, it disables wireless; when the wired link goes down,
the wireless re-enables.

Subject: GPO for Network Metrics?

Laptop users sometimes have network issues when their machines are
brought from home and docked in the office. If the wireless connection
is still on, it'll take priority and try to use the configuration from
the most recent connection. (This happened to me this morning; took a
few minutes to troubleshoot.)

Ideally, I'd like the wired NIC to take precedence over the wireless
connection. I know I can assign metrics to the NICs to resolve this,
but is there a method to do so via GPO so I don't have to manually
configure each portable machine?
