Eek! Zolved is free, but all your connections flow through their server. You have to wonder what they're getting out of their "free" service. Sniff! And I see that it's based on UltraVNC, so it probably doesn't use port 80, either. If you want to set up your own Zolved system so you don't have to relay through them, UltraVNC has all the tools you need to do this. including encrypting the traffic. UltraVNC has ways to enable connections through NAT routers, see "UltraVnc Nat 2 Nat Connections" http://www.uvnc.com/addons/nat2nat.html and "UltraVnc Repeater" http://www.uvnc.com/addons/repeater.html ... since my "Help Desks" are at static IPs, I don't need either, I just set up "UltraVnc SC (Single Click)" http://www.uvnc.com/addons/singleclick.html to point at my various "Help Desk" IPs. A user needing help just downloads GeoApps.exe from my site, calls me, and selects which help desk I tell him. Works like a champ as long as their corporate firewall isn't restricting outbound connections to port 5500 (which I have had happen *_once_*). Home-user-type NAT routers don't care about that. -- Angus Scott-Fleming GeoApps, Tucson, Arizona 1-520-290-5038 +-----------------------------------+ ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~
