"Companies are looking for ways to break free from the business limitations imposed by a networking paradigm that has been dominated by a single vendor,”
Umm, isn't HP that dominating vendor? So how are people to break free when one of the options they had is now gone? Not that I mind the merger; I've only used 3com stuff in a handful of places over the past 12 years. >>> "Matthew W. I'm sure they have good engineers, patents, etc. I don't know anything about 3Com's business in China or Tipping Point. But I do remember the 3Com NBX phone system. This is an area where HP can expand into with the portfolio of 3Com. I'm quite interested in where the 3Com phone system ends up. --Matt Ross Ephrata School District ----- Original Message ----- From: Rick Berry [mailto:[email protected]] To: NT System Admin Issues [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thu, 12 Nov 2009 07:39:22 -0800 Subject: RE: HP to acquire 3com > Patent portfolio has value, I'm certain. > > From: Steven M.
