We got an APC UPS with an extra auxiliary battery that under current load will give just over 1 hour of run time for all servers and related stuff (switches, routers etc).
We're also blessed with 3-phase power here, and I can switch the UPS between phases thanks to some crafty electrical wiring. Very often only 1 phase will go down because the power company tries to keep things going. This has made my life a lot easier. I was quite busy rebuilding servers after they failed to boot after power cuts in the past, but now I can spend more time removing viruses from people's desktops :/ Andrew. 2009/11/23 Sam Cayze <[email protected]> > Yeah 5 minutes sounds pretty weak.
