When will users learn that you can catch more flies with honey than
vinegar?

The last time we had a power outage my UPS failed and my pc went down
immediately. I contacted our desktop guys later in the day with a request
that basically said, my ups failed this morning in the power outage, when
you have a chance could you replace the battery or the unit, whatever you
have available, when you get a chance, no rush on this, just whenever......I
had a desktop guy at my desk with a replacement battery within an hour :)

I've learned that when you treat people in the customer service field with
kindness and respect, they will typically do whatever it takes to make you
happy. I know that's how I am and so try to treat others that way, and most
of the time it works.

That being said, it does sound as if you do need to look at replacing the
battery or the entire ups because 5 minutes to me says that the battery is
going.

Venting is good, we all understand because we've all been in your shoes ;)
