I have a Samsung wide screen SyncMaster 2343BWX on my desktop right now.
It's very solid and oh so nice.  The only thing that I would caution you on
is make sure that the video card in the system that will be running this new
monitor can handle it.  My 3 year old Dell Latitude laptop's video card
worked fine for dual monitors, but when one of the monitors got replaced
with the Samsung, it would not consistently work.
