I'm a big advocate of rotating a wide screen monitor to portrait. Especially beneficial on pages where you need to view text much like you would on a standard printed page. Having a landscape monitor is awesome. In our firm we're moving partners and tax preparers to dual 22" monitors. 22" is the sweet spot for us because allows 1050 resolution, which can minimized the need for side scrolling when viewing most websites and displays a full page+ in word at a good readable resolution.
